Will SVAT be terminated as proposed in Budget 2017?

I inquired this from SVAT division and they informed me that SVAT method has extended for three months upto 31st March 2017.

So, there is high probability of terminating SVAT scheme after this date.

It is supposed to be effective from April 2017 as per budget proposals but is may get delayed or may not get implemented at all.
