VAT claim on advance payments

Question

We are purchasing a machine for Rs.1.5 Million and we paid 50% of their invoice on order and the balance is to be paid when the machine is delivered which will happen in the next month. My question is whether we can claim 50% of the VAT this month on the invoice we received since we have paid 50% this month.
